Guwahati, Kaziranga, Kohima, Kisama, Khonoma, Jorhat and Majuli
Arrive at Guwahati airport, you will be received and greet by our company representative then head out to Kaziranga national park (250km) – a world heritage site and tiger reserve, famous for one horned Rhinoceros. Evening free at leisure for personal activity.
O/N at Guwahati.
Early morning Elephant ride (5.30-6.30 a.m./6.30 -7.30 a.m.) in the Central / western range of the park. Back to resort for breakfast and rest of the day till lunch is free to explore the nearby places. After lunch enjoy an exclusive Jeep safari in the Western / central range (2.30 p.m. onwards) of the park - ideal for grassland and big game like One Horned Rhinoceros and Water Buffaloes. Back to the resort before it gets dark.

Today drive to Kohima (215 km) – the capital of Nagaland, a newly created state of India. Kohima is a beautiful town known to the world for halting the Japanese force during the Second World War. On the way to Kohima visit hot water spring at Garampani and ruins of the Medieval Kachari Kingdom at Dimapur. O/N at Kohima.
After breakfast at hotel, start your day to witness the colourful Hornbill Festival at Kisama heritage village. In this festival all the sixteen tribes of Nagaland come together in one roof to exhibits their traditions, culture and lifestyle. Every year the festival is celebrated from 1st of Dec for 10 days. The highlight of this festival is mainly the colourfully dressed tribe, their dances and songs, traditional food stalls, sport activities and the beautifully build traditional Naga huts and morungs (Naga Boy’s dormitories). Evening you can enjoy the night bazaar at Kohima. Overnight at Kohima.
This morning also will witness the different culture and tradition of the Naga people at festival ground. Afternoon, visit Kigwema village and World War II Cemetery that lies in a beautiful surrounding - it’s a tribute to the warriors who made supreme sacrifices in the battle of 2nd World War.

An excursion to Khonoma village, this village that lays 20 kms of west of Kohima was known for its fighiting prowess in ther past. It is also known for the fallow management of its alder trees, which balances nature in the surrounding areas. The beautiful terraces that are carved out of the hill slopes surrounding of the village are a sight to behold. These terraces grow over 20 types of paddy at different elevations. Afternoon, drive back to Kohima and visit north east largest Cathedral – Bishop’s Cathedral. Evening free at leisure for personal activity.

Today drive to Jorhat – a major Tea town of the Assam. Arrive at Jorhat in the afternoon and stay overnight at Jorhat.
Drive to Nimati ghat and cruise on the river Brahmaputra to reach Majuli island. Majuli is the largest river island in the world and a centre for neo - Vaishnavite culture of Assam. Visit Auniati satra, Uttar kamalabari Satra and Garamur Satra. The Satras are the neo – Vaishnavite monastery to perform the various religious activities. After noon take the return ferry and reach Jorhat for overnight stay.
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Guwahati airport to board the flight for onward destination. The tour concludes here.
